What Dilwish is
A platform for finding a marriage partner — for the candidate and their family. It is not a dating site, and it may not be used for casual relationships, for meeting people for any other purpose, or for posting anything obscene. Dilwish introduces members to each other; it does not arrange marriages and is not a marriage bureau.
Who may join
- The candidate must be of legal age to marry in India — 21 for a man, 18 for a woman — and legally free to marry: unmarried, divorced, widowed, or with a court case for divorce pending, as the profile states.
- Whoever holds the account must be at least 18.
- One profile per account. A parent or guardian may manage a candidate’s profile, but the candidate keeps the final say over their own photographs and the release of their contact details.
- Your mobile number must be yours and must be verified. An account on a number you do not control is not an account we can keep.
What a profile has to be
True. That is the whole of it, and it is the only thing this platform sells. A profile that misstates marital status, age, income or education is not a preference we tolerate — it is fraud against someone making a life decision, and it gets the account removed.
- Photographs must be of the candidate, recent, and yours to upload.
- Verification documents must be genuine and belong to the person on the profile.
- A profile you post on behalf of someone else needs their knowledge and agreement.
How the platform is used
Not permitted, and enforced rather than merely discouraged:
- Harassment, abuse, threats, or contacting someone who has blocked you.
- Asking members for money, investments, gifts or bank details. Messages are checked automatically for this pattern, and it is the fastest route off the platform.
- Asking for or offering dowry, in any form. It is a crime under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.
- Soliciting for a business, a marriage bureau, or any service.
- Copying, scraping or bulk-collecting profiles, photographs or contact details. This includes automated access of any kind.
- Sharing another member’s photographs or contact details with anyone outside the conversation. Full-size images carry a mark identifying who viewed them, so this is traceable.
- Creating a second account to evade a block, a report or a removal.
- Pretending to be someone else, or misstating who manages a profile.
You may not post or send anything that belongs to someone else without their permission; that is obscene, pornographic, invasive of another person’s privacy, harassing, defamatory, or hateful on grounds of religion, caste, community or gender; that harms a child; that you know to be false or misleading; that infringes a copyright or trademark; that contains malicious software; that threatens the unity, security or sovereignty of India or public order; or that breaks any law in force. We remove it when we find it or are told about it, and may remove the account that posted it.
What you post
What you post stays yours. By posting it you give Wings4Vision permission to store it, process it — resizing, blurring and marking photographs, checking text — and show it to other members as your settings allow, for as long as it is on Dilwish. That permission ends when you delete it or your account, apart from the records the privacy policy says are kept.
Review and removal
A person reviews every profile and every photograph before it becomes visible, and we can refuse or remove either. We can suspend or remove an account for a breach of these terms, and we will act without notice where a member’s safety is involved. Where a removal is a judgement call rather than a safety one, you can put your side to the support desk and a person will read it.
A suspended account cannot be escaped by deleting it: the same mobile number cannot open a new account. If an account is deleted while reports about it are still open, the next profile from that number is reviewed with that in mind.
Plans, payments and contact unlocks
- Creating a profile, being verified, searching, shortlisting, sending and accepting interests, and chatting are free.
- Interests have a daily limit: a few a day without a plan, more with one, and fewer in an account’s first day. The numbers are shown with each plan.
- A plan is what lets you view another member’s contact details, and only as that member allows: to any member with a plan, only after they approve your request, or not at all. A new member may be given a free trial plan once, when their profile is approved.
- Each plan states its price, how many days it lasts, how many contacts it includes, and how many you can view in one day. The price shown when you pay is the price you are charged.
- A plan starts the day you buy it. Buying a new plan while one is running ends the old one at once, and its remaining days are not carried forward. Contacts you have not used end with the plan, except that some are carried forward, up to a limit, when you renew on time — in the plan’s last days or shortly after it ends. The plans page shows the current days and limits, and exactly what you would keep and lose, before you pay.
- Extra days bought for a plan follow that plan.
- You never pay twice for the same number. Numbers you have viewed stay available while you have a plan and for a short time after it ends; after that they may be hidden until you choose a new plan, and any plan brings them all back without using contacts. The plans page says which applies before you pay.
- Plans do not renew automatically. You are never charged again without choosing to.
- Payments are handled by our payment gateway. We never see your card or UPI credentials.
Refunds: plans and extra days are not refundable once bought, so please check the plan before you pay. The exception is a charge that should not have happened — a duplicate charge, or money taken for a plan or extra days you did not receive. Those are always refunded in full, usually without you having to ask; if one is missed, write to the support desk. A refund reaches the account you paid from within 5–7 working days of being sent. A free trial costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund.
What we do not promise
We do not promise you a marriage, a match, or that anyone will reply. We verify what we can verify and we remove what we catch, but we cannot guarantee that every statement on every profile is true. Meet people carefully, meet them in public first, and involve your family — the ordinary advice, which does not stop being right because the introduction happened online.
We do not run background checks, we are not a party to anything you agree with another member, and to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you have paid us.
Your data
Covered in full by the privacy policy, which is part of these terms. The short version: your contact details are never sold, your photographs are never public, and you can export or delete everything yourself at any time.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you like, from Privacy and your data. It is immediate and it is real: the profile, the messages and the photograph files go. Payment and moderation records are kept as the privacy policy describes.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you in the app before the change applies. If you do not agree, you can delete your account; carrying on using Dilwish after the change means you accept it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Kerala have jurisdiction. Complaints about your data go to our grievance officer first — the grievance officer page says who that is and how long we take. Anything else goes to the support desk.
